Happy New Years!

I hope you had a wonderful holiday with friends and family. I did, my family did it’s usual whirlwind tour of Southwestern Ontario, Southampton, Paisley, London, Kitchener and hopefully Brampton this weekend to celebrate my best friends, baby girl’s Christening.

I love new years, it a fresh start, a time to make goals and commitments. Have you made yours yet? I’m working on mine… :) But I do have a couple I would like to share, they are pretty general sounding but sometimes the easiest things are the hardest.

1. Make more time for my family

2. Make more time for myself.

3. Don’t worry so much about what could have been and focus on how to make things better in the future.

4. Eat, live, play and work better.

Specifically at Work:

1.Increase productivity

2. Decrease procrastination

3. Build better relationships with my current clients and suppliers

4. Seek out clients and customers who goals are the same as mine

5. Do the things I am good at and outsource the rest IE. accounting!

On the Horizon for 2009:

Some of the current business trends fit very well into my business plan for this year such as Social Media. Social media is everything from E-mail Marketing, Blogging and using web tools and resources to increase your revenue. KLC will be jumping further into this area with increased teaching, learning and use.

Once again, I am offer a “branding” live seminar this spring, locally. We’ll talk about the do’s and don’ts of general design as it relates to traditional marketing. I hope to be able to record it so I can post it on my site as well. I am teaming up with an amazing group of talented professionals to bring you a full day conference about Social Media, Branding, Web Development and E-Commerce. More details will be available later this winter. And of course I will be attending lots of seminars, conferences, pod camps and doing online tutorials to increase my knowledge in these areas as well.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your holidays and are refreshed to begin the new year. My January schedule is already full with lots of exciting projects to work on. Talk to you soon…

J.
