The Big Sisters of Owen Sound and North Grey Bruce asked me to design their 2010 Christmas tour of Homes Ticket this year. I was very excited to do this project. Not because I was ever a Big Sister but because I was a Girl Guide Leader for many years. I know the importance of having a female role model in our lives at a young age. The Big Sisters of Owen Sound need volunteers right now. There are 10 little sisters waiting for big sisters. If you have an hour a week to spare consider volunteering it to a worthy cause.
Big sisters wanted an updated look to the ticket this year to show that they are a viable and active community group. The ticket was created in the form of a 32 page Book. It was laid out in Indesign, and the front cover was created in illustrator. Most of the ads were sent into me print ready. The book displays the 8 homes and businesses that will be on show for the home tour. It was printed in full colour on 80lb gloss text paper and was saddle stitched. We also created matching 11×17 posters to be displayed in the sponsors shop windows and where tickets will be sold. Big Sisters also wanted posters created to make people aware that they are in need of volunteers.
As I am writing this they are being delivered! They look great!
